Open since April 2008, Studio Maffei operates as a curatorial project, dedicated to the share of the contemporary art shapes; through the development, communication and realization of alternative exhibitions projects.
The research is based on showing works that both reflect and refract the contemporary culture of everyday life; featured by debut-emerging and mid-career artists, both local and foreign; which involves a broad range of art expressions, including painting, sculpture, film/video, performance and conceptual installation.
The headquarters is located in Milan, Italy, but rather than adopt a gallery-as-sanctuary mentality, we are encouraged to move our projects off-location; promoting our vision in collaboration with biennials institutions, galleries and others activities in the art system.
